Excuse Our Dust

We launched this site more than three years ago, and now it's time for a
face lift.  We're just finishing our latest expansion, and now we need to
feature our new restaurant, art gallery and new staff members.

We're adding lots of new content and new features, so be patient.

Thanks!

Robert Copple at Carpe Vino

Robert R. Coppple was born in Los Angles, Ca in 1963. He started drawing at a very early age. In elementary school he developed a strong love for art and nature. Robert graduated from Cornell University in 1985 with a major in painting and minors in both photography and ornithology/biology field studies. He has since devoted himself full-time to producing original art in varied media including sculpture. In 1990 he continued to push the boundaries of mixed media concepts by creating a new art form combining his painting and photography, called "Illusionary Images", the first of its kind in the market. Concurrent with his artistic work is Robert's activity as an advocate for nature in national appearances, speaking engagements, and shows to demonstrate his personal concept of the importance of the natural world. Beginning this commitment at age 16, Robert had his first one-man show in San Francisco and won the California Non-game Wildlife Decal competition. By age 18 he had four limited edition prints available in the art market. A year later, Robert became the youngest painter to be juried into the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Exhibition in Wausau, Wisconsin. At 21 he was the only undergraduate guest speaker to have a one-man show at the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology.

Robert also was the commissioned artist for the 1989 Idaho Upland Game Stamp; was invited to have a one-man show in Moscow; was a top ten finalist in the Federal Duck Stamp competition three times by the age of twenty-six; and was named 1990 Artist of the Year at the San Bernardino County Museum's Wild West Festival in Redlands, Ca.

Other museums which have exhibited Robert's work included the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History and the Colorado Museum in Denver. He continues to participate in numerous art shows and exhibitions throughout the U.S.

Currently Robert continues to broaden his artistic horizons by drawing on personal experiences of love and romance, while creating his new series of paintings titled "The Taste of Romance".
