Auburn’s Ginny Daley is Featured “Art Walk” Artist
Ginny’s work is whimsical, fanciful and just plain fun. She exploits bright colors and soft forms in her work, often choosing clusters of women as her subjects. The current exhibit, Ginny’s first in a gallery, also includes wine-themed pieces and a row boat—executed in brilliant hues. Priced at between $300 and $450, Ginny’s large-format pieces are true values.

Ideas for Ginny’s paintings come from many sources. It might be an old photograph, postcard or greeting card. Maybe it’s that 1968 calendar with the pretty July hummingbird. Or it could be a composite of all many images. An art major at the University of Oregon, she has been painting in various mediums for nearly 40 years, but she now works primarily in oils.

Ginny is employed by the State of California and her work currently hangs at the Senate Office of Research in Sacramento. Ginny lives in Auburn with her husband, Jim, her Mom Janet, and their dog Daisy. She can be reached at the College Way Studio, 530-885-8743.
