Winery Tasting Notes:  Aromas of brambleberry, Black plum, Vanilla and cinnamon bark rise from the glass . Richly layered with intense blackberry, lavender, red licorice and leather. Rich and mouth filling, ending on a velvety finish.

Blend: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 15% Syrah

Fun Facts: Founder, Lupe Maldonado was named vineyard manager for Newton Vineyard in 1971. With Newton, Lupe found a home where he proudly dedicated all his energy for over thirty years. His son Hugo succeeded him in 1999.  The Maldonado Winery consists of a cave nestled in the eastern hills of Calistoga California. The cave is home to all aspects of wine production, as well as barrel aging.
