merry-edwards-sauvignon-blanc-russian-river.1156022016 Merry Edwards Sauvignon Blanc (Russian River, CA)

Winery Tasting Notes:
7The translucent, aurora-gold hue of this wine predicts what’s to come in the glass. Mouthwatering and luscious, its aroma overflows with tree-ripened fruit – nectarine, quince, peach and Fuji apple – as well as a hint of floral perfume and tropical notes of ripe, juicy pineapple, passion fruit, papaya and mango. Sophistication has come early for this wine with a strong impression of developing minerality.
In the mouth, it’s round, lush and vibrantly balanced across the palate. Richness and weight counterbalance bright acidity supported by flavors of tangerine, lemon zest, candied orange peel and sweet pink grapefruit. The finish is luxurious, lingering on well beyond any rational expectation.

rosado-e1424860475683.1146072016 Muga Rosado (Spain)

Winery Tasting Notes:
60% Garnacha, 30% Viura and 10% Tempranillo
“A very light, bright colour, mainly pale orange-tinged salmon pink. In this harvest we see a return to very fresh, acidic fruit which dominates the whole sensory profile of the wine.

On the nose a complex aroma of white-fleshed fruit with stones. In the aftertaste the olfactory notes are transformed into something finer and more complex in which, as well as the previously mentioned aromas, we can detect lychees, apricot and faint reminders of the bakery shop.

In the mouth it proves deeply attractive since, although the tart fruit is still to the fore, the overall taste is softened by the fine, elegant, well-integrated lees. It is a wine with a long finish which combines sweetness, freshness and acidity.”

Brook.1147552014 Brooks Note Pinot Noir (Marin County, CA)

Winery Tasting Notes:

Aroma: Abundant dark cherry, with notes of black pepper, sassafras and a hint of oak. As it opens up, there?s a touch of clove and cinnamon.
In the mouth: Lovely round mouth feel, with structured tannins and flavors of cranberries, tart cherries, blackberries, and a hint of wild sage.
Finish: Nice long finish of cranberries, tart cherries and wet stone. The cherry lingers once the wine is gone.”

15EMbottle.1152522015 Emmolo Merlot (Napa Valley, CA)

Winery Tasting Notes:
“A dark plum color, this wine opens with the lush scents of baking chocolate and fig, enhanced by notes of dried stone fruit, Christmas spice and wisps of Mesquite smoke. The palate is wonderfully rich and supple, driven by dark berry flavors. On the finish: a harmony of fresh earthiness and smoky notes rounded out with tannins that are leathery and smooth.”
