Four Amazing Wines…All for under 30 Bucks!

Greetings from Carpe Vino!  Drop by Saturday to taste two new wines, and taste two wines that are back by popular demand!  With Tax Day behind us, what better way to ease that burden than with some fantastic wine that will surely cure what ails you.   Please remember, Wine Club Member Tasting begins at 12noon and ends promptly at 4pm(Two person maximum per wine club membership.) So, here is what we will be pouring:

Francois Chidaine Touraine Sauvignon Blanc 2013 (France)

Touraine_sauv_FrancoisChidaine-152x362.091759$14.99/bottle or $13.49/bottle on six +

Tasting Notes:
“Aromas of orchard fruit, grass and a touch of tropical fruit. Very much in the Touraine style of Sauvignon being a little more round and richer than its Eastern Loire counterparts, but with good acidity and nice balance. Decent length.”

Jay’s Take:  “Here is the perfect wine to pair with fish, as well as, the perfect wine to enjoy on a pleasant Spring evening out on the patio.”

Mi Sueno “Los Carneros” Chardonnay 2010 (Carneros)

MiSueno_chard-152x362.091941$37.95/bottle or $27.95/bottle on six +

Winery Tasting Notes:
“Nestled right next to the San Pablo Bay in the Los Carneros Appellation, our Tierra Blanca Vineyard couldn’t be happier to be in such a cool and beautiful climate. Round and rich, but not hollow and flabby. On the contrary, this wine yields high acidity and minerality, which contributes to its refreshing qualities. Rolando’s first four years of production were dedicated to just producing Chardonnay. While working at Chateau Potelle and Paul Hobbs, Rolando fell in love with native yeast fermentation; hence the exotic features of this wine.”

Jay’s Take:  “Our best Chardonnay for under 30 bucks in Carpe Vino. We just received 4 more cases of this Carneros beauty, and at this discount, it won’t last long.”

Jay’s Take:  “This brand new release is the second label to the highly acclaimed Lindstrom Wines.  A stellar pinot noir from the heralded Celia Welch, and it’s under 30 bucks!”

Mollydooker “Blue Eyed Boy” Shiraz 2012 (Australia)

BlueEyedBoy-152x362.092638$39.95/bottle or $24.95/bottle on six +

“Wine Advocate” Tasting Notes: 91 POINTS
“A 100% McLaren Vale blend aged one year in 90% new American oak, the deep purple-black colored 2012 Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz shows beautiful black fruit, warm cassis and mulberry notes with a spot of preserved plums, anise and yeast extract. This very spicy, very big and full-bodied wine is rich, viscous and concentrated. It finishes long and just a little warm. Drink it now to 2020+.”

“Wine Spectator” Tasting Notes: 92 POINTS
“Ink-dark, with a savory edge to the layers of black cherry, red plum, raspberry and licorice that rise up from the velvety tannins, forming a generous, plush finish. Best from 2016 through 2020.”

Jay’s Take:  “Two Saturday’s ago, this wine sold out in two hours!  We just received a few more cases of this rockstar shiraz from Australia that is by far one of the best bang for the buck wines around.  Hands down!”
