Francophiles came out of the woodwork for Chef Alexander’s “April in Paris” prix-fixe event last week, when 354 foodies jammed the friendly confines. . .a one-week restaurant record for Carpe Vino. Next up is a yet-to-be-named prix-fixe dinner featuring the early harvest in Placer County of spring’s tastiest veggies. Dates are a bit early: May 13 to 18. Price is $59 per person plus tax and tip.
