Offered yesterday to the CV Wine Club Membership first, we sold through the majority of our rather “healthy” allocation of the 2019 Dos Artes “Skulls” Extra Anejo.  With it being HALLOWEEN and no better day to drink this tantalizing tequila, we have a couple of bottles left available on a first come, first served offering.  

If you are a tequila enthusiast or collector, this in DEFINITELY ONE FOR THE TOP SHELF!  Since opening CV Wine & Spirits in February, our BEST-SELLING Tequila has been the Dos Artes Reserva Extra Anejo (red bottle in picture of above) which sells for $130/bottle.  Here’s why:

1.)    All Dos Artes Tequilas come in a ONE LITER bottle instead of the traditional 750ML bottle.  That’s an extra 9oz of this liquid gold for you to enjoy.  Remember, when it comes to spirits, think about it as what you are paying by-the-glass (2oz pour) instead of the entire bottle.  Unlike wine, it will last months/years and doesn’t need to be consumed with a day or two after opening.  Is $9.42/glass ($160 / 34oz = $4.71 x 2 = $9.42) really too much for a TOP SHELF Tequila to enjoy in the comfort of your home…on 17 different occasions???

HOW DOES IT TASTE???  

The Dos Artes Extra Anejo Tequila Skull Shaped Bottle is a collectors edition that could basically represent all types of tequila. It’s exactly what you picture when you think about tequila beverages in general, with its smoothness, richness, and silky sweetness. Its vanilla notes give it some uniqueness, and it’s overall a completely classic tequila beverage in every way.

This Anejo is a beautiful golden color, almost the color of pure gold. The nose of this tequila is a one-of-a-kind mix of toasted agave, oak, and additional floral aroma of grass. Even though it is spicy, there is no but there is no alcohol burn even when you inhale deeply within the crown of the glass. The taste is of agave, toasted oak, and honey and at the mid palate, white pepper notes come about and its aftertaste is a sweet brown sugar taste. It can be enjoyed with white fish, a cigar, but a lot of people enjoy it all by itself.
