Saturday Tastings resume this weekend and we are featuring the TOP 5 WINES of December 2017. We’re going all “REDS” this week and these wines are sure to please…especially with the Blockbuster Discounts! In case you missed some these Tastings last month, here is the perfect opportunity to stock up on some fantastic vino. So, from 1 P.M. – 4 P.M here’s what we are pouring and we’ll see you then:(please remember two person maximum per wine club membership, no guests).

 

Marietta “Roman” Zinfandel 2015 (North Coast, CA)

“Wine Advocate” Tasting Notes: 90 Points
“A blend of 84% Zinfandel, 11% Petite Sirah and 5% Barbera, aged for 12 months in neutral barrels, the 2015 Zinfandel Roman sports a deep garnet-purple color and nose of black plums, blackberries and licorice with touches of tar, charcoal, salami and Indian spices. Full-bodied with firm, slightly rustic tannins, it offers great fruit expression in the mouth with freshness and purity coming through on the long finish.”

It is framed by a sturdy structure of Bordeaux varietals and accented with a touch of the Rhone to bring out depth, spice and individuality. Its velvety texture provides a long, lingering finish that would pair well with red wine braised short ribs or charred gruyere cheeseburger.”
