Winery Tasting Notes: “Distinct aromas of lemon zest, tart white peach and crisp pear show generously in this refreshing and focused cool-climate Chardonnay. 2013 Stags’ Leap “Investor” Red Wine

$58/btl – (Special Pricing To WC Members Saturday)

Winery Tasting Notes: “Reflective of the winery’s ability to combine power with elegance, the 2013 vintage of The Investor is rich in fresh fruit but also captivating for its notes of vanilla bean, rose and forest floor. It’s an instant pleaser with generous, concentrated flavors of blackberry, blueberry, plum, cherry, and fine-grained, soft tannins.”

Wine Advocate Notes: 90 Points “A blend of 38% Merlot, 32% Petite Sirah, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Malbec aged in a combination of French and American oak for 16 months, the 2013 Proprietary Red The Investor is an intriguing combination of grapes. Stags’ Leap winemaker Christophe Paubert (from Bordeaux) has produced an opaque purple wine with notes of blackcurrants, blueberry, white flowers, a full-bodied constitution, impressive purity and moderate tannins in the finish. It needs several years of bottle age and should drink well for 15 or more years.”

2013 Stags’ Leap Petite Sirah (Napa Valley)

SLW_2012-NV-PetitSirah_7501.114013$45/btl – (Special Pricing To WC Members Saturday)

Winery Tasting Notes: “Deeply colored, the Napa Valley Petite Sirah is a classic example of the full-bodied, rich varietal. Generous in flavor, with blackberry, black cherry, mulberry and subtle hints of rose tea, vanilla, graphite, clove spice and sweet tobacco, this wine exhibits the full spectrum of Petite Sirah’s signature characteristics. The beautiful flavors remain fresh throughout, the tannins are dense, but unbelievably soft, and the finish is luxuriously long.”
