“OKTOBERFEST” PLATTER

Tonight thru Saturday, October 12th!

Sometimes you just have to have a little fun!  That’s been our plan @carpevinoauburn and so far Chefs Tim Dube and Olivia Poulos Bavarian inspired “Oktoberfest” appetizer platter is living up to the hype!  One of our best-selling appetizer dishes since being offered last week, grab yours before its too late!  Here’s what comes on this appetizer platter (built for two): 

“Oktoberfest Platter” 

olympic provisions bratwurst, blaukraut, seared ham steak, malt vinegar smashed potatoes, sauerkraut, bavarian pretzel, whole grain mustard  – $27

“Weekend Special” – Hamachi Tartare

Chefs Tim Dube & Olivia Poulos have been busy, really busy, and still were able to find time for a ‘lil R&D and create this fantastic “Weekend Special!”  This impeccably fresh and clean dish delivers a overwhelming amount of flavors topped off by the mezcal (@delmagueymezcal “Vida” used here) cured roe.  This is an absolute must try!

For years, literally decades, we have been HUGE FANS of SIERRA MOON GOLDSMITHS (CLICK HERE FOR WEBSITE or HERE FOR INSTAGRAM) located here in Old Town Auburn.  Whether it was a custom-designed, handcrafted, hand forged, one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry or something they display/sell from their nationally/international portfolio of amazing jewelers…they truly have something for everyone.  The quality of their craftsmanship, customer service and overall purchasing experience, are second to none.  So, when owner Shawn Baldwin, along with her husband Brad, pitched us on the idea to host a cooperative event, we were on board before the name “William Henry” was said!

Who/What is William Henry?

William Henry, (CLICK HERE FOR WEBSITE or HERE FOR INSTAGRAM) earned its fame for creating exclusive and award-winning pocket knives, and transforming the archetype of all tools into a superb piece of functional jewelry for men. Today’s collections also include men’s jewelry, writing instruments, money clips, cuff links, and key chains.

On Thursday, October 10th from 6-8pm, JOIN US in the CARPE VINO WINE MINEto not only view/purchase WILLIAM HENRY (pocket knives, writing instruments, money clips, etc), but do so while tasting outstanding Bourbon & Whiskey!!!  Attendees will have the option to taste ROUGH RIDER BOURBON (CLICK HERE FOR WEBSITE or HERE FOR INSTAGRAM) and/or BOTIQUE-Y WHISKEY (CLICK HERE FOR WEBSITE or HERE FOR INSTAGRAM) all while perusing the inventory!  Mark Sprague, William Henry’s senior and most knowledgeable representative, will be onsite with a spectacular collection of limited and/or exclusive offerings that are not readily available “day-to-day” in Sierra Moon’s showroom.  Some of these pieces are so rare, less than 10 exist, with some even being one-off productions.

This is getting lengthy but let us just say this…the Bourbon is great, BUT THE WHISKEY’S ARE THE OFF THE CHARTS.  We will be trying single cask (essentially one-off’s) from Scotland, Japan and wait for it…SOUTH AFRICA (we have the last 10 bottles).  The tasting starts precisely at 6PM, and a $5 fee (donated) will be required.  

THE BEST PART – ALL JEWELRY, ALL BOURBON, ALL WHISKEY will be available on that night!  We know its only October, but honestly, JUMP ON THAT CHRISTMAS/HOLIDAY SHOPPING NOW!!!
