SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL “BBQ PLATTER” AVAILABLE NOW 

– ON HOLIDAY 6/28-7/6 –

This past Thursday (June 25th), was the 14th week that Carpe Vino’s restaurant and bar has been serving “To-Go” food only.  When our team was faced with the bitter reality that our restaurant/bar would be reduced to “To-Go” only, we quickly devised a plan; creating new online menus, mobile ordering platforms, safety protocols, marketing tactics, curbside pick-up and much more.  As discussed in prior emails, you hear the words “uncertainty” or “pivot” used repeatedly and wefeel that Carpe Vino and CV Wine & Spirits has found a “path” that will keep our doors open for months/years to come. 

During those four months, we reduced to a skeleton crew working day-in, day-out, which has allowed little time for any team member to take a little break.  Most of our team has been working five/six days a week and the work doesn’t turn off when you punch out at the end of your shift.  So, as in years past, we will be TAKING HOLIDAY from June 28th-July 6th, returning on July 7th.  We are thankful for our team members, as everyone has stuck together, worked hard and never complained once. 

Upon our return, Carpe Vino will only be offering a “To-Go” dining option, as we continue to watch/listen to the ever-changing climate in our business, our country and our world.  TRUST US, WE HEAR YOU and know you want to “dine-in,” but as my 3rd grade teacher would say, “patience is a virtue” and when the time is right, we will offer a new “dine-in experience” our current customers & new customers will thoroughly enjoy.  

We greatly appreciate your support and patronageand hope you will continue to order “To-Go” from CV as we continue this phase of our lives.  Our promise is to you is that we will keep pushing ourselves to give you the very best we can offer.  It’s the only way we know how.

We look forward to seeing you this weekend at Carpe Vino or Higgins Corner for “To-Go” pick-ups, but if not, we’ll see you in July!  We wish you all a happy and safe 4th of July holiday!

Last weekend we offered a “Father’s Day BBQ Platter” that was an absolute hit that it “sold out.”  With these temperatures reaching triple digits, many people won’t even want to get behind a grill/smoker, so let us take care of that for you and order up a BBQ Platter from Carpe Vino!

HERE IS HOW TO ORDER “TO-GO” FOR CURBSIDE PICK-UP AT CARPE VINO:

• Place order online by selecting items from the dropdown(s) below and completing all information requested at the bottom of the order form.  ALL PRICES LISTED INCLUDE TAX

• Select your preferred pick-up time between 4PM-7PM.

• All orders must be placed online 45mins before arrival.  Online orders will be accepted until 6:15pm with final pick-up at 7pm.

• All orders must be pre-paid and processed successfully before prepared.

• If you graciously decide to add a “gratuity” please know it will be dispersed amongst all of our furloughed staff members.

ORDER “TO-GO” FOR “HIGGINS CORNER” DROP-OFF (5:15PM – 5:30PM)

• Place order online by selecting items from the dropdown(s) below and completing all information requested at the bottom of the order form.  ALL PRICES LISTED INCLUDE TAX.

• UPON CHECKOUT – Select “HIGGINS CORNER” Drop-Off

• All orders must be placed online by 3:30PM (no orders will be accepted after 3:30 for delivery).

• Drop-Offs will be available between 5:15-5:30pm, Tuesday-Saturday.

• No silverware or napkins will be provided.

REMEMBER FOLKS – “Chicago Dogs” come with cold ingredient toppings and the temperature will decrease once leaving Carpe Vino.  If you ever been to WRIGLEY FIELD, the same is true by the time you reach your seats!!!

Just before everything changed in our day-to-day lives, we were just about to release TWO new tasting flights revolving around WHISKEY here at Carpe Vino!  Simply put, “always be tasting” is our motto and a necessity when introducing new products to our clients.  SO…starting today, and while supplies last, we are going to be offering TWO different WHISKEY flights “TO-GO” …with the caveat that you MUST PURCHASE FOOD “TO-GO” as well!

FLIGHT 1 – W.L. WELLER (2oz Each) – $55/flight
Special Reserve, Antique 107, 12 Year

Hands down “Weller” is one of our most sought after whiskey brands currently at Carpe Vino & CV Wine & Spirits.  Highly allocated is an understatement, as these Bourbons are damn well near impossible to find and if you do find them…expect to be paying anywhere from $85-$350/bottle depending on the label.  This is an outstanding opportunity to taste all THREE of these WHEATED BOURBONS, SIDE-BY-SIDE-BY-SIDE, at a very, VERY REASONABLE PRICE.  We will be offering 12 of these flights a day for purchase.  Also, our supply is limited, so I don’t know if we will make the weekend!

FLIGHT 2 – “Exploring Mash Bills” (2oz Each) – $35/flight
W.L. Weller Special Reserve, Eagle Rare 10 Yr, Sazerac 6-Year Rye

This is a great flight to try THREE different Whiskey with mash bills all focusing around different dominant grains.  Weller is dominated by wheat (50+%) Sazerac dominated by Rye (50+%) and Eagle Rare, a 10yr aged Bourbon that is a more traditional Bourbon with less that 10% Rye used.  Definitely a great way to try three different WHISKEYS all side-by-side-by-side!
