Saldo (by PWC) Zinfandel 2013 (California)
$27.95/bottle or $24.95/bottle on 6+
Winery Tasting Notes: “Saldo is the prototypical Zinfandel, produced from a blend of some of California?s most renowned Zinfandel vineyards and regions. Our select growers include historic vineyards in Napa, Sonoma, Lake Amador, Mendocino, and Contra Costa counties. The word “Saldo” is of Latin origin often referring to “from here and there” or in this case, representing our sourcing of Zinfandel from regions “here and there” across Northern California. This rich wine displays aromas of black fruits and baked blueberry pie with a dense concentration of flavor and smooth tannins with a peppery finish.”
Abstract (by Orin Swift Cellars) Red Wine 2015
$32.00/bottle or $27.95/bottle on 6+
Winery Tasting Notes: Grenache, Syrah, Petite Sirah “As soon as a glass is poured, aromatic notes of Luxardo cherries, ripe black plums and raspberries billow, with intricate hints of coffee, mocha and caramel in the background. The entry is expansive with dark briar fruits, cola and cocoa with tannins that are soft and dusty. The wine finishes with a hint of wild cherry and a lingering sweet oak presence.”
The Prisoner (by PWC) Red Wine 2014 (California)
$44.95/bottle – Standard WC Discounts
Winery Tasting Notes: “The Prisoner was created and inspired by the drinkable “mixed blacks” first made by the Italian immigrants who originally settled in the Napa Valley. In 2003 The Prisoner was launched and soon became the most recognized innovative and unique Napa Valley Red Wine blend, leading the resurgence of blends by incorporating Zinfandel with the unlikely “mix” of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petite Sirah, and Charbono. The wine is a blend of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petite Sirah and Charbono. The wine features enticing aromas of bing cherry, espresso, and roasted fig. Persistent flavors of ripe raspberry, pomegranate and wild berry linger harmoniously for a smooth and luscious finish.”
Palermo (by Orin Swift) Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)
Winery Tasting Notes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec “Rich aromas of seasoned oak meld effortlessly with ripe boysenberry and candied cassis. The entry of the wine is soft and delicate, but quickly evolves into a serious mid-palate replete with opulent and concentrated flavors of dark fruits. Black currant and kirsch provide background to lively raspberry and cherry notes that create a near endless finish.”
