DERBY DAY BABY!!! CAN’T WAIT UNTIL SATURDAY…Horses & Wine…does it get much better than that?  Well, it does when you can taste wines from Silver Oak and have a chance to win some awesome prizes all while watching the Kentucky Derby at Carpe Vino!  “The Run for the Roses” is all about winning, and everybody wins on Saturday when the $10-per-person tasting fee will be donated to “Ride to Walk” on behalf of the Carpe Vino Wine Club.  Due to the expected crowd this tasting event is strictly for wine club members only.  Thanks!

On Saturday (May 7th) from 1 to 4 p.m., we’re hosting a PREMIER WINE CLUB (only) TASTING EVENT with FOUR WINES from the Silver Oak Cellars family, featuring THREE NEW RELEASES:  2015 Twomey Sauvignon Blanc, 2012 Twomey Merlot (best ever) and 2014 Twomey Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley).  As a special bonus, we’ll also taste the 2007 Silver Oak “Alexander Valley” Cabernet Sauvignon LIBRARY RELEASE, elegantly presented in a six-pack wooden box!  Wine club member discounts are available on wines you purchase to take home.

“Ride To Walk” is All About Kids with Special Needs

 

RTW is an  incredible local program utilizing horses to enhance the lives of children and young adults with neurological disabilities by providing therapeutic horseback riding activities.  RTW was launched in 1985 by Dr. Kristine Corn, and the organization has been responsible for helping countless kids, their families and our community.

As you know Carpe Vino has stepped up its philanthropic efforts over the years and loves supporting our local community, which is why this seemed like a perfect match donating all collected tasting fees to “Ride to Walk” on Derby Day!  Along with your tasting fee, we have created a couple of different methods for you to purchase even more tickets/horses.  Whether you can make it or not…here is how you can participate:

Each horse number you randomly draw (or a staff member does on your behalf) corresponds with the horse running with that number at the Derby.  (Example: if you draw #5, last years #5 was American Pharoah.  I Say last year, because hosrses won’t be announced until Wednesday.)  If your horse comes in first…you win!  If you have multiple horses and they finish as shown below…you win!  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.  All numbers will be drawn at Carpe Vino the day of the event.

-Any online orders with more than 5 horses will not be accepted.

-Winners get largest winning prize only…ie: 1st, 2nd receivesEXACTA prize but not WIN prize.  1st, 2nd, 3rd receives TRIFECTA prize but not Exacta or Win prizes.  1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th receives SUPERFECTA PRIZE but NOT Trifecta, Exacta and/or Win.  All prizes will be distributed during following week and will receive follow-up phone call/email from Carpe Vino staff member.
