The Perfect Rosé Wines For Saturday Wine Club Tasting!!!

If you missed the “PINK” Wines last week then not to worry…we have another stellar lineup for you this weekend! With the wonderful patio/picnic weather upon us, there is nothing better than a nice dry rosé or sparkling rosé to quench your thirst. Plus, they are very versatile and virtually pair well with almost any spring or summer faire. We changed up the lineup from last week just a tad as we are showcasing special Spanish rosé that is quite possibly unlike anything you’ve ever tasted. The Saturday Tasting starts at 1pm and ends at 4pm so here is the perfect opportunity to taste/stock up on some deliciously fun wine! Here is what we are pouring: (please remember two-person maximum per wine club membership, no guests).

J Brut Rosé Sparkling NV (California)

JBrutRose-152x362.135537$39.95/bottle or $29.95/bottle on 6+

Winery Tasting Notes:
“Our J Brut Rosé sparkles with a vibrant pink salmon hue and offers layered aromas of fresh strawberries, raspberries, Fuji apple, rose petals and a savory swath of toasted hazelnuts. On the palate, an elegant mouthfeel combines with flavors of ripe raspberry, blood orange and blanched almonds underlined by lively acidity and steely minerality. I recommend pairing it with roasted beet and goat cheese salad, or a simple plate of smoked salmon canape and Cypress Grove Humboldt Fog cheese.”

Withers-152x362.1357212016 Withers Rosé (El Dorado County)

$21.95/bottle or $18.50/bottle on 6+

Winery Tasting Notes:
“Our 2016 Rose is a dead ringer for a classic Bandol, highlighted by the color, flavors and aromas of apricot, cherry, watermelon rind nectarine and peach. The wine is buttressed by strong balancing acidity, with excellent tension and lift over its medium bodied, layered and textured frame. Balanced and elegant, it is best served at cellar temperature and can be paired with oysters, shellfish, seafood, pasta and fowl. It will be enjoyable immediately on release but should improve in bottle for 3-5 years.”

Winery Tasting Notes:
“The 2016 rosé is fresh and bright with classic aromatics of strawberries, white flowers, and watermelon, coupled with subtle notes of orange zest. The wine has laser focus on the palate with ample acidity to work with a variety of dishes.”

cuve-ros.142717Laurent-Perrier Brut Rose NV (France)

$74.95/bottle – Wine Club Discounts Apply

Appearance
“Elegant, with color changing naturally from a pretty raspberry hint to salmon-pink.

Nose
Precise and very crisp. Wide range of small red fruits: strawberries, red currants, raspberries and black cherries. Its amazing freshness is the dominating note.

Taste
Intensely fruity flavors, clean, well-defined and slightly sharp, the wine then opens up to provide an impression of plunging into a basket of freshly picked red berries: strawberries, Morello cherries, black currants and raspberries. The wine is supple and rounded on the finish.”
