CHRISTMAS is 14 days away, but TODAY we’re celebrating early with NEARLY 50% OFF this AMAZING 2012 Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir from LUNA Honestly, this deal was so insanely awesome, our broker had carte blanche to “JUST SHIP IT!” No approval necessary!  WHY???

First, the wine is from Luna Vineyards.  Since 1995, Luna has been producing award-winning and critically acclaimed wines with fruit from their estate and/or sourced from prestigious growers all over California.  Interesting fact, of the 50,000 total cases produced annually, 40,000 are Pinot Grigio, which means most of their wines are produced on a much smaller scale.

Second, Pinot Noir is in the TOP THREE of our “BEST SELLING”varieties at Carpe Vino, with Santa Rita Hills arguably one of the most popular AVA’s (American Viticultural Area) our customers prefer to drink/purchase.  You may recognize some other outstanding wineries from this region including; Brewer Clifton, Cargasacchi, Foxen, Samsara, Calera and one of the most cult allocated producers on the market…SEA SMOKE (to name a few).

FinallyTHE PRICE.  If you are an avid reader of our emails, then “QPR” or “Quality to Price Ratio” is something you will often here us talk about.  The 2012 Luna “Santa Rita Hills” Pinot Noir, was a great wine for its original retail price of $45-$60, but at $24.95/bottle (on 6+ bottles) its downright thievery!  Absolutely, hands down, one of BEST “QPR” finds of the year!!!

BUT, it’s a 2012?!?  Yes, its literally at its finest consumption point and someone else has spent all the money and time storing it for you!!!  That alone is a selling point for this wine – it’s ready to go NOW!

Winery Tasting Notes: “A complex and forward wine that begins with red raspberry and cedar notes on the nose that leads to rich brambleberry flavors. The mid-palate is dense with flavors of rhubarb and white pepper. A touch of dry cocoa and vanilla, along with a bright red-fruit finish completes the flavor profile.”
