There has been only one thing missing from Provençal wines over the years and that was a true sparkling wine.  Dominated by killer still roses (WE CARRY SEVERAL), Provence has been the standard by which roses exist.  Why not introduce a sparkling???  Well, the folks from St Andre de Figuiere took heed and embarked on an ambitious quest to create one of the first of its kind.  After conforming to specific viticultural rules of the region, terroir, and grape varieties, St Andre de Figuiere created a bubbly like none other!!!  SURPASSING ALL EXPECTATIONS they created festive bottle of bubbly-delight perfect for sharing with family and friends for any occasion.

Immediately you are captivated by the RAVISHING hue of DREAMY PINK.  Comprised of 50% grenache and 50% cinsault, you are greeted with aromatics of FRESH-CUT WATERMELON and RIPE STRAWBERRY.  Palate-wise…move over bacon, here IS something meatier!  BRIGHT flavors of HONEYDEW MELON and just a tinge of RHUBARB coats your mouth like MELTED WHITE TRUFFLES.  This is a can’t miss for poolside activities, hot summer evening while “tooning” (aka pontoon-ing) around the lake or just anytime you are craving something fresh, crisp and delightful.  Don’t judge me but pair it with a juicy burger and that’s what I call a SURE-FIRE bet!

Winery Tasting Notes: 50% Cinsault and %50 Grenache “The Domaine Saint Andre de Figuiere 2010 “Atmosphere” Cremant de Provence is an extra-brut sparkling rose made from Cinsault and Grenache, a fascinating blend for a sparkling wine. The color is a very pale salmon pink, and the wine shows characteristics of mostly barely ripened fruits, including white citrus, peach, green apple, and strawberry. The bubbles are very fine and the wine is so light, crisp, and clean – it’s a lovely sparkling wine, very unique and beautiful, and perfect for the warmer months.”

Cheers,
