It’s BAAACK!!! The all-new 2014 Substance “Cs” Cabernet Sauvignon.  One of Carpe Vino’s TOP-SELLING wines last year is on to the new vintage and it’s better than ever!  I had to take a bottle home last night to make sure it was LEGIT and sure enough I was blown away.  If you are a huge fan Washington wines or if you’ve never tried them, this is the perfect wine to dig right into…especially at $14.99/bottle on six or more…You can’t beat that!

 
The 2014 Substance “Cs” is 100% cabernet sauvignon sourced from Goose Ridge and Frenchman Hills Vineyards in Columbia Valley, WA.  I am a HUGE FAN of this wine for one simple but all important reason…FLAVOR!  With its DEEP BLACK INKY HUE, “Cs” generously offers DELICIOUS DARK BERRY FRUITS, subtle HERBACEOUS tones, CHOCOLATE, with just a smidgen of TOBACCO.   I am a proponent of BIG BOLD WINES that exhibit good weight, good depth, and a lingering finish.  This wine has all of that and then some.  It tastes like a wine that would be easily double or triple its value.  The moral of the story here is…you will NOT be disappointed because as the name implies, it has some serious “SUBSTANCE.”

Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, native fermented, aged in French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered, it’s a killer value that has lots of blue fruits, violets, graphite and leafy herbs in medium to full bodied, concentrated, layered style. Savvy readers should buy a case of this and drink bottles over the coming 4-5 years, although I see no reason that it won’t keep longer either.”
