600 Six-Packs Produced – Down 50% From 2013 vtg.

NO JOKE – last year this was the SINGLE-MOST-REQUESTED wine club selection to be “repurchased” by our faithful membership!  We quickly sold over a pallet of this wine and depleted our supplier’s allocation which forced us to deliver the unfortunate answer of “sold out” to the countless customers so desperately wanting more!   That’s why your CV sourcing team couldn’t wait to get their grubby ‘lil paws on this year’s vintage which just hit the CV floors this morning!

What do you get with
63% Petit Verdot & 37% Petite Sirah?

UMM…you get a BLOCKBUSTER wine of EPIC proportions that will STIMULATE the palate of any wine drinker who craves lip-smackin flavors which will surely stain their teeth!  It’s not too often that the name of the wine is exactly what it is but with “VDR” AKA “Very Dark Red” – well, that’s exactly what it is!

WHAT’S IT TASTE LIKE?

“Petit Verdot is a grape of dark color, stout tannins and concentrated flavors.   The small berries of Petite Sirah mean a more intense maceration of skin-to-juice ratio and some of the longest tannins of any vinifera. Together they create a dark, concentrated wine that can be enjoyed now but will age well for a decade or more. VDR is full-bodied yet supple, with deep, ripe fruit flavors of black currant and black raspberry perfumed by delicate notes of crushed violet. A firm, chalky tannin structure belies the velvety, luscious mouthfeel. Dense flavors integrate beautifully for a long, layered finish.”
