This is not a misprint!!! Your eyes are not deceiving you!!!  We scored a MASSIVE DEAL on the 2016 B.R. Cohn “Silver Label” Chardonnay and today is THE day to SAVE BIG!!!  B.R. should be short for “BIG, RICH” because this FULL-BODIED beauty sports all the bells and whistles in the flavor department.  RIPE and BRIGHT at $16.95/bottle on 6+ best discount…it’s s a SLAM DUNK!!!

B.R. Cohn is one of the more storied wineries in all of Sonoma County.  Founder Bruce Cohn, who managed the Doobie Brothers to Rock-N-Roll stardom for 45 years, parlayed his music success into the wine biz by launching B.R. Cohn Winery in 1984.  Here the likes of Helen Turley, Merry Edwards, and Steve MacRostie all were founding winemakers at this magical property.  Today, we find Marco Digiulo at the helm and he brings his 30 years of experience to making these wonderful hand-crafted gems.  Marco’s pedigree is no slouch either by having run the wine programs at several prominent wineries including Clos Pegase, Swanson Vineyards, and Consentino just to name a few.  The End Result = STELLAR!!!

The 2016 B.R. Cohn “Silver Label” Chardonnay is one SMOOTH SIPPER.  Not overly oaked…this is easily one of the best-drinking wines for under $20/bottle…hands down!  It is great as an aperitif wine but will certainly pair well with seafood. ‘Tis the season for Dungeness crab accompanied with drawn butter and a Caesar salad.  It’s a match made in heaven!

Winery Tasting Notes:

“From a truly great growing season, this Chardonnay is sourced from select vineyards in the acclaimed Russian River Valley region of Sonoma County, where the cool climate allows the grapes to develop ripe, rich flavors while maintaining a bright and refreshing acidity.”

Cheers,
Jay
