SIX THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED BOTTLES = 542 CASES = 9.5+ PALLETS = THAT’S A LOT OF VINO!!!!  That’s how much of the “IF YOU SEE KAY” Red Wine we have sold since selling our first bottle on 8/23/2012!   This label was designed to grab your attention, from its BRIGHT blue background, TATTOOED portrait of a woman named “KAY” and of course…the play on words.  What wasn’t expected was the amazing depth of flavors and sophistication cult winemaker JAYSON WOODBRIDGE produces inside the bottle.

Jayson Woodbridge is no stranger to making great wines as HUNDRED ACRE, CHERRY PIE and LAYER CAKE are all his babies.  Historically, fruit for this monstrous wine came from the last place you would think…Lazio, Italy!  HOWEVER, this vintage consists of fruit sourced from right here in California…Paso Robles to be exact.  The expectation would be that the wine would be distinctively different based on the continental grape change alone!  Now taking into consideration the blend (grape varieties) is different…WHO KNOWS…what this wine will take like?!?  WELL…in typical Jayson Woodbridge fashion, the wine is FANTASTIC.

Oddly enough, we can’t believe how similar this wine tastes to it’s past vintages (from Italy), but again all fruit from PASO ROBLES, CA.  The blend is 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Petite Sirah, 14% Zinfandel and 7% Petit Verdot. 

Tasting Notes:  “A deep, dark purple color opening with opulent aromas of mulberries, dark ripe Bing cherries and hints of leather alongside dashes of cedar and vanilla. On the palate, succulent juiciness balances out firm yet fine-grained tannins. Dense flavors of ripe plum and dark cherry fruit flavors create a full, well-structured mouthfeel, with lively acidity that creates a powerful yet elegant sensation through the cherry-toasted laden finish.”
