Today’s Deal ~ Hahn “SLH” Pinot Noir 2016 (Santa Lucia Highlands, CA)
$29.95/btl or $19.95/btl on 6+
Sometimes, to find a great wine at a great price…you just gotta ask!
That’s what we did last Thursday with one of our most trusted reps.
“So…B (we refer to each other by our first letter)…”What are you selling these days?”
Without hesitation he responded, “We’re CRUSHING IT with the Hahn “SLH” Pinot Noir.”
Us, “HAHN…that’s right, the SLH Pinot, we sold a ton of the 2014 & 2015 at Carpe Vino. Let’s do it! Ship us the 2016!”
It was as easy as that!
In our opinion Hahn is an excellent value and for the “PQR” (PRICE TO QUALITY RATIO) it’s hard to find a better wine on the market. If our business model was geared to solely under $15/btl wines, you would see stacks of Hahn on our floors.
Hahn has three different tiers of wine; HAHN, HAHN SLH & LUCIENNE. The HAHN SLH series, would be considered their mid-Tier wines, using only grapes from their family-owned vineyards in SLH. What makes these wines so special is they cost considerably less than some of their iconic SLH vineyard neighbors including: Garys’, Pisoni & Rosella’s Vineyards! NOW…we’re not saying the Hahn is Pisoni for ¾ less the price…not saying that at all. All we’re saying, is that for $19.95/bottle…this is a fantastic wine and a great representation for what the Santa Lucia Highlands have to offer for Pinot Noir.
Wine from the Santa Lucia Highlands have a distinctive taste/flavor profile and this wine reflects those nuances with tremendous balance and finesse. This 2016 Hahn “SLH” Pinot Noir has aromas of BRIGHT CHERRY, hints of earth, mushroom and TOASTY OAK with concentrated flavors of red fruit and spice. OH…and it received 90 POINTS “WINES SPECTATOR.” Truly a BUY NOW…especially for a 90 Point “Wine Spectator” Rated PINOT NOIR Under TWENTY BUCKS(not easy to find anymore).
