LAST 10 CASES AVAILABLE NOW!!!
50 CASES PRODUCED & ONLY 10 CASES LEFT TO SELL!!! Another Carpe Vino FOURTH OF JULY WINE SPECIAL that deserves a second look! Due to the price of fruit/labor drinkable sub-$20 Cabernet’s are becoming nearly extinct in California.. Finding under $20 Cabernet’s made by one of the best winemakers in California – now that’s a “whole nuther” story! We can’t reveal their name, but we have been selling this winemaker’s proprietary wines (when available) at Carpe Vino for the past eight years! Specializing in red varieties, these wines are excellently crafted, perfectly balanced and always varietally correct. Oh… their last 21 of 22 submissions to “Wine Spectator” (back to 2010) have garnered 90+ points with 14 bottles scoring 93-96 points. What’s the wine we’re selling???
$17.95/6+ bottle ($0.75/oz)
This 2014 predominately Sierra Foothills Cabernet Sauvignon is absolutely delicious and ready to drink now. Sticking with “4th of July” wines this week…a Carpe Vino regular & good friend would consider this to be a “ding-ding” wine…meaning, APPROVED! With tasting notes like this…how can it not be?
“Concentrated flavors fill up this full-bodied and well-balanced wine. Pleasurable aromas of black currant, sweet tobacco, and clove give this wine exquisite character. Ripe fruit flavors of blackberry and baked blueberry accentuated with baking spice round out nicely on the palate. Its velvety texture provides a long, lingering finish that would pair well with red wine braised short ribs or charred gruyere cheeseburger.”
Don’t over complicate it with Fourth of July only 8 days away! Do yourself a favor & stock up now!
