In Case You Missed It…

We wish we could just hit DELETE to the start of 2020 and rewrite the first 6 months of the year, but that just isn’t possible.  Best we can do is look at JULY 4th as a “reset” date and start moving forward, understanding that the “new norm” is reality and here to stay (for a while at least).  We’ve tried looking through the crystal ball, even given the ole “Magic 8-Ball” a couple shakes, but the answer keeps coming back “cannot predict now” or “concentrate and ask again.”  That’s exactly what we’re going to do, not try and predict and concentrate on the formula that has been working thus far…”to-go” dining service. 

Evaluating our past four months, we are now going to be open for “To-Go” dining service (curbside or Higgins drop-off) Wednesday-Saturday (until further notice).  Today, Chef Time Dube is releasing a NEW MENU, featuring seasonal ingredients that will continually evolve each week.  New items include:

SWEET STREET CORN AGNOLOTTI (AVAILABLE AS HALF OR FULL ORDER)
Cotija Cheese, Tajin, Cilantro

CHILLED CORN SOUP (AVAILABLE IN PINT OR QUART)
Extra Virgin Basil Oil, Cherry Tomato

SHRIMP COBB SALAD
Southern Pickled Shrimp, Sieved Egg, Tasso Ham, Corn, Cherry Tomato, Cucumber

PAN ROASTED SKUNA BAY SALMON
Parisian Gnocchi, Black Garlic, Warm Sherry Vinaigrette, Cherry Tomato, Arugula

MISHIMA WAGYU SIRLOIN
Huitlacoche, Maitake Mushroom, Tomalito, Cherry Tomato

Shortbread, Whipped Crème Fraiche, Grand Marnier

Don’t worry, some of our standard classics, like Pitmaster Spencer Smith’s “Smoked St. Louis Spare Ribs,” will still be there!  Next week, Chef Dube will be bringing one of our most popular weekend specials onto the menu nightly!  Sorry, can’t tell you just yet!  OH, and speaking of weekend specials, we will now be offering TWO platter style meals every Friday & Saturday.  The “CARPE VINO BBQ PLATTER” will focus on all things smoked and/or grilled.  ~~~Can’t lie, pretty excited about what Chef Dube and Pitmaster Smith have concocted for this weekend.~~~  The second platter (yet to be named) will essentially be a prix-fixe meal with two different proteins to choose between.  This is an absolute fantastic opportunity to get the best of CV all in one shot!  

As we continue on this path, we are constantly developing more ideas/plans as to how to restructure Carpe Vino into a viable/profitable restaurant and bar while adhering to all restrictions and protocols presented by our state and federal officials.  We want to make sure that when “dine-in” service resumes, you have an experience satisfying enough to join us again and again!  We firmly believe that we will get there!

HERE IS HOW TO ORDER “TO-GO” FOR CURBSIDE PICK-UP AT CARPE VINO:

• Place order online by selecting items from the dropdown(s) below and completing all information requested at the bottom of the order form.  ALL PRICES LISTED INCLUDE TAX

• Select your preferred pick-up time between 4PM-7PM.

• All orders must be placed online 45mins before arrival.  Online orders will be accepted until 6:15pm with final pick-up at 7pm.

• All orders must be pre-paid and processed successfully before prepared.

• If you graciously decide to add a “gratuity” please know it will be dispersed amongst all of our furloughed staff members.

ORDER “TO-GO” FOR “HIGGINS CORNER” DROP-OFF (5:15PM – 5:30PM)

• Place order online by selecting items from the dropdown(s) below and completing all information requested at the bottom of the order form.  ALL PRICES LISTED INCLUDE TAX.

• UPON CHECKOUT – Select “HIGGINS CORNER” Drop-Off

• All orders must be placed online by 3:30PM (no orders will be accepted after 3:30 for delivery).

• All orders must be pre-paid and processed successfully before delivered.

• Drop-Offs will be available between 5:15-5:30pm, Tuesday-Saturday.

• No silverware or napkins will be provided.

REMEMBER FOLKS – “Chicago Dogs” come with cold ingredient toppings and the temperature will decrease once leaving Carpe Vino.  If you ever been to WRIGLEY FIELD, the same is true by the time you reach your seats!!!
