Every November since 1988, “Wine Spectator” releases their “TOP 100 Wines” in the world and generally it’s a mad scurry to procure these distinguished wines.  As their website says, “These wines are a diverse group—ranging from emerging labels and regions to traditional estates exploring new directions—and all generate the excitement we call the “X-factor.”

In addition, our selection also prioritizes quality (based on score), value (based on price) and availability (based on the number of cases either made or imported into the United States). These criteria are applied to the wines that rated outstanding (90 points or higher on Wine Spectator’s 100-point scale) each year to determine our Top 100.” – WS Online

Fact of the matter is that most of these wines we have previously “sold out” or moved onto a new vintage, can’t access because they are not released (ie. #9 Pahlmeyer Chard we are selling 2014) and/or we just don’t have access to the wine (ie. only 20 cases imported).  That said, Carpe Vino always finds away to get you the goods…so check these THREE – TOP 100 WINES – OUT!!!

2014 SIXTO “UNCOVERED” CHARDONNAY (Columbia Valley, WA) $39/bottle NET

~ ONLY 5 CASES AVAILABLE ~

“#13 “Wine Spectator” Top 100 of 2017!!!”

“Wine Advocate” 93 Points:

“A blend of all three of the single vineyards, the 2014 Chardonnay Uncovered is every bit as good as the single vineyards. Apple, white flowers, brioche and toasted nut characteristics flow to a rich, textured, sexy Chardonnay that’s just a straight up joy to drink. The 2012s from this estate are still fresh and vibrant, so I suspect these will all have a solid 4- to 5-year drink window, if not longer. There’s roughly 1,200 cases of this killer Chardonnay, and readers owe it to themselves to give one of these a try.”

“Wine Spectator” 94 Points:

“Dynamic, yet sleek and refined, driven by a core of minerally acidity that meshes with the delicately complex apple, Meyer lemon and spicy yeast accents that linger long on the finish.”
