We’ve Got a Pruett Flight on Permanent Tasting

PruettLFA.174424One of our local heroes is Scott Pruett– because he is the only winery in Placer County (or Nevada, El Dorado or Amador) to earn a score of 93 points from Wine Spectator magazine.  And, oh yeah, he’s a pretty talented race car driver, too.

We’ve been selling Pruett wines at Carpe Vino since Scott’s first vintage, and we were the venue for his first-ever winemaker dinner (watch for details about another event soon), but here’s the rub:  Scott and Judy Pruett live near Auburn, but because of access issues, an on-site tasting room is not possible.  And with Scott’s racing schedule, truth be told, he’s on the road (literally!) much of the time.

So, if you are Jonesing to taste Pruett wines, now you can put out the fire at Carpe Vino because we’ll always have a flight of three releases for guests to sample.  Right now we’re offering the 2011 Aston Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir ($48), the 2011 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon ($48) and the 2011 CSP Estate Syrah ($36, 92 pts. WS).

Cost to taste is $15 and the price may change in the future depending on the cost of the wines being featured.
