WINE CLUB GETS FIRST TASTE/BUY OPPORTUNITY
This weekend we have a phenomenal opportunity to be the FIRST WINE SHOP and/or RESTAURANT IN THE NATION to taste and purchase the NEW RELEASE of the highly anticipated 2015 Rombauer Zinfandel. Due to the California drought over the past few years, the production levels of zinfandel have been dwindling at Rombauer. Each year our allocation has been cut significantly due to the simple fact that there is NO WINE. We have limped along with what we were fortunate to receive and we’re thankful for every drop. This year, the story remains the same, less wine than last year and probably will be sold out even sooner than the prior vintage. Well, lucky for us one of our MVR’s (Most Valuable Rep’s) pitched us on an idea to incorporate Rombauer into our CVWC Saturday tasting and taste/sell the wine the same day the winery has their release! It was a no brainer and that’s why on Saturday @ 1pm (til 4pm) you can be the first to grab one of their most prized wines…ZIN-BABY! “This wine is brilliant pale yellow with a bright green hue. It exudes aromas of ripe lime and lemon, grapefruit, pear and white nectarine with a hint of fresh-cut grass. The palate is fresh and enticing, as grapefruit, white nectarine and passion fruit intertwine with Meyer lemon and lime, making the mouth water. Balanced yet lively acidity lingers on the palate inviting another taste. Boxwood on the finish gives the wine length and vibrant freshness.”

“This wine has dark purple core wth a magenta rim. The nose is expressive with aromas of cherries, blackberries, plums, rosemary and sweet tobacco. The wine is medium- to full-bodied, brimming with flavors of black cherries, blueberries and plums, along with notes of bramble, violets and vanilla. Supple tannins carry through to a lingering finish.”

“Our classic California Zinfandel is dark purple-ruby, with a bright crimson hue. On the nose, concentrated aromas of blackberry and raspberry meld with clove and spice. Plush and round tannins and great length make for a fresh and enticing finish.
