An “Evening with Martinelli Winery”, the 3rd installment of our Family Winery Series will be ONE WEEK from today, Thursday, October 19th @ 6pm!   This newly formed program was predicated on being informal, affordable, time-friendly, for a limited number of guests (only 20 tickets), within an intimate setting (CV wine mine) to taste, eat and converse.  Our goal was to always have a family winery and with the golden rule of a MEMBER OF THE FAMILY must be present.

Our previous events featured the French wineries, LaRoche (Chablis) and Chene Bleu (Rhone Valley) which both “sold out” in less than 20hrs (LaRoche in 3 hrs).  We poured four different wines ranging in price from $25-$180 and enjoyed family style plates paired perfectly by Chef Eric Alexander.  The evenings couldn’t have been more perfect and both presenters Gwenal LaRoche and Nicole Rolet raved about the food Laroche wrote to us saying: “The chef did such a good job. I really did appreciate what he made/work on. It was stunning!  I was in SF last night having dinner at Luce talking about your place with Keith -the sommelier- told him it was the best food this week!!” Mind you she visited the Pebble Beach Food & Wine Festival that week too!

Evening with Julianna Martinelli!!!

ReserveNow.164733An “Evening with Martinelli Winery” will be our first stateside winery for our family winery series.  Martinelli is truly an “OG” in the California wine industry growing grapes in the Russian River Valley since the 1880’s!!!  Martinelli is a grape growing family and sells 90% of their harvested fruit a year.  The 10% they  keep goes into the most sought after, highly-allocated wines we can procure and include varieties such as; Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir, Syrah and of course – ZINFANDEL.  Julianna Martinelli, “who looks like Julia Roberts-albeit with longer legs and fewer B-list actor ex-boyfriends” (Food&Wine article) goes by Julie and will be your guide on the past, present and future (especially Sonoma post-fire) of Martinelli Family Winery.  Throughout the evening you will taste upwards of SIX WINES, including a library selection and dine on several family style dishes provided by Chef Alexander.

Starts @6pm Sharp! Taste six wines produced by Martinelli Family Vineyard which all (but one) have been rated 91-95Points by The Wine Advocate.   All wines will be paired with family style appetizers excellently created by Chef Eric Alexander! Wines included:
