(Paso Robles)

2014 Daou Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon $54.95

Winery Tasting Notes:  “A classically styled Cabernet with a highly perfumed nose offering black cherry, cassis, anise and black olive, together with notes of plum, graphite, dried herbs, crushed gravel and Oregon blackberry. Secondary aromas of leather, cigar box and incense reveal deep, harmonious complexity. Powerful, bold and brooding, bursting with layers of black and blue fruits. Boysenberry, blueberry, spicy currant and black plum with accents of sandalwood and toffee. Dark roast espresso, hints of vanilla and lavender potpourri. Flavors are focused in their intensity and beautifully structured, balancing power and finesse throughout the mid palate. A continuing evolution of pure fruit flavors is experienced with this wine’s amazingly long and elegant finish.”

2014 Fel Pinot Noir $38

(Anderson Valley)

2014 Fel Pinot Noir $38

“Established in March 2014, FEL Wines produces Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris from the Anderson Valley and the Sonoma Coast. Meticulously crafted by Winemaker Ryan Hodgins, FEL also features a unique portfolio of vineyard designate wines, including both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from our estate Savoy Vineyard.

The letters in FEL represent Florence Elsie Lede, Founder Cliff Lede’s mother, a home winemaker who provided the early inspiration for Cliff’s love of wine.

Growing up in Alberta, Canada, Cliff remembers the tulip as signifying the end of winter, bringing with it a freshness and excitement of warmer days ahead. The FEL Wines label, featuring an illustration of an opening tulip, is a tribute to Florence’s passion for gardening.”
