Sante Arcangeli Pinot Noir 2015

Winery Tasting Notes: Hints of pomegranate, blood orange, red plum and cedar bark up front, with fantastic minerality underneath savory/foresty notes.

Blend: 100% Pinot Noir
Alcohol Level: 13.9%
Winemaker Name: John Benedetti
Maturity: Drink now –  2024
Accolades: 90 points – Wine Enthusiast
Pairings: Seasoned/grilled Salmon, Rotisserie chicken, all cheeses, fall veggies

Fun Facts: Very focused and intense, with a lot of everything: there is acid in abundance, balanced oak that adds a slightly toasty quality and a velvety back-note, and grippy tannin backed by a graphite-like minerality. Winemaking, is understanding a vineyard or appellation, and making key, but subtle, adjustments that help to accent the best qualities of that particular fruit so the vineyard can shine through the wine.
