Tolpuddle ‘Tolpuddle Vineyard’ Chardonnay 2016

Winery Tasting Notes: Fine and precise with firm acidity, a combination of lightness of texture and intensity of flavour. The 2016 vintage has the natural acidity you would expect but is very approachable.

Blend: 100% Chardonnay
Alcohol Level: 13%
Winemaker: Adam Wadewitz
Maturity: Drink now – 2022
Pairings: Pan-fried scallops, semi-soft cheeses

Fun Facts: Planted in 1988 solely to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the vineyard takes its name from the Tolpuddle Martyrs, whose “reward” for starting England’s first agrarian union was to be transported to Tasmania as convicts.
