Last was night we rolled out these ridiculous SMOKED BEEF CHEEK BARBACOA TACOS which not to our surprise completely SOLD OUT!  Orders contain THREE TACOS come with Smoked Beef Cheek Barbacoa, Achiote, Lime Slaw, Chipotle Crema, Cilantro all nestled in Corn Tortillas!

In an effort to better serve you, if possible please choose a pick-up time not on the hour or half-hour.  Believe us, if you are thinking 5PM for pick-up, so are about 10-15 other people.  Choose your pick-up time like a TEE TIME FOR GOLF and please STAGGER if possible to 5:10pm, 5:25pm, 5:50pm if you are looking to come between the 5pm hour.  Same is true for the 4pm or 6pm hour as well.  We are EXTREMELY GRATEFUL for your support and trying our best to accommodate pick-up times, but if you could help STAGGER YOUR PICK-UP TIME, it definitely would help expedite better for everyone.  Thank you!

We will be offering these “Double Dogs” two different ways:

OPTION 1: “NAKED DOGS” – Two hot dogs in two buns, with two bags of chips.

OPTION 2: “WALK THRU THE GARDEN” – TWO “CHICAGO DOGS,” with all the fixins’ and two bags of chips.  

DUE TO HIGH DEMAND, “TO-GO” ONLY, WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE SPECIAL ORDERS.

What is on a Chicago Dog?  – It all starts with essential raw materials imported from the Windy City:  poppy seed buns, steamed before serving; all-beef Vienna brand hot dogs; neon green relish; sport peppers; dill pickle spear; tomato, onion and yellow mustard (French’s is traditional).  The secret ingredient is celery salt (plus Tim Dube’s expertise); the poppy seed bun is essential.  Oh…and no ketchup.  Sorry!  

REMEMBER FOLKS – “Chicago Dogs” come with cold ingredient toppings and the temperature will decrease once leaving Carpe Vino.  If you ever been to WRIGLEY FIELD, the same is true by the time you reach your seats!!!

LOCAL BEER & WINE AVAILABLE “TO-GO”

Yes, CV Wine & Spirits is still open for “daily” business, but we wanted to create an easy way for you to purchase some “local” beer and wine producers that we have supported over the years.  Along with the new food items, we will also be offering BEER from two LOCAL BREWERIES; AUBURN ALEHOUSE & LOOMIS BASIN BREWERY for sale (pre-chilled) “to-go” at retail pricing (tax included).  Wine you ask?  You will be able to ORDER WINE from two LOCAL WINERIESCASQUE WINES & LONE BUFFALO VINEYARDS, again at retail price with tax included!  All beer, white, rose and sparkling wine will be pre-chilled for your satisfaction and enjoyment.

There are many amazing breweries, distilleries & wineries throughout Placer County and Northern California that need you support.  These four businesses have partnered with Carpe Vino since their inception and all have been a staple on our by-the-glass menu and/or wine list for nearly a decade.  There are many options of wine/spirits still available to purchase at CV WINE & SPIRITS, but we wanted to limit our “TO-GO” menu options to our local partners only.  Thank you.

We’re now entering our 4th week of our new “to-go” menu and we can’t tell you how much we appreciate all the support we have received.  Like many other small businesses still “open” for business, we are working with a skeleton crew that is being pushed to the max.  In no way does this compare to the stress/courage of the first responders and/or health care professionals, but with the uncertainty of what lies ahead, its tiresome, nonetheless.  Due to this tragic “period” of time we are currently experiencing, our team has bonded together to become even stronger and taking each new challenge we face with our best professionalism, creativity and love!
