Years ago (something we are proud to say these days) we introduced you to JELLY JAR! A new, boutique label out of Lake County that was making some incredible small production Zinfandel and Barbera. Best part…the PRICE! We literally went through 100’s of cases until one day…it just stopped.
That’s the ebb and flow of this business, one minute your selling the heck out of a wine and the next minute it’s gone! Fact is, with so many new brands coming and going, people just said “what’s next” and Jelly Jar fell off of our radar.
Fast forward 5 years. A couple weeks ago, we happened to be perusing one of our premium, specialty brokers catalog and wouldn’t you know…JELLY JAR. It wasn’t the Zin, it wasn’t the Barbera…it was a 2016 RED BLEND consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Barbera. With COVID, we didn’t have the ability to ask for a sample…just had to bring it into the shop…sight unseen!
